Érase una vez
Days of future past
“Érase una vez…” is the latest piece produced by Riccardo Rossi during the year 2023 for the Days of Future Past collection. Following the concepts and iconography that represent the Orange Republick, this drawing transforms the landscape of Salamanca into a symbolic image where buildings and streets decay under a green veil and tree tags. The only two humans that walk into the frame are a self portrait the author and his loyal page Vicente acting during their utopic guerrilla war against the windmills.

En la España artistíco monumental
Days of future past
This landscape filled with coloured tree tags and green fields captures the moment just before the last yellow tag is hanged by the author. Focusing on the details of this renewed composition, the viewer follows the river to discover the last tree to do in the middle of waters. The Sanctuary of Saint Ignatius stands out in the background exploiting in red the lines and features that draw the building. Drawing by Riccardo Rossi from the collection Days of Future Past.
